Paula Iancic will join Ruxandra Donose, Ramón Vargas and Leontina Văduva to star in the Salbek Opera Festival Extraordinary Gala, on August 23, in Arad. Here is a short biography.

Paula Iancic was a member of the Opera Studio of the Bavarian State Opera (2016–2018), where she performed roles such as Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro and Papagena in Die Zauberflöte by W.A. Mozart, Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel by E. Humperdinck, Giannetta in L’elisir d’amore by G. Donizetti, Zaida in Il turco in Italia by G. Rossini, Maria in Der Diktator by E. Krenek, a Flowermaiden in Parsifal by R. Wagner, and Oscar in Un ballo in maschera by G. Verdi.

On this prestigious stage, she had the privilege of performing alongside internationally renowned artists such as Diana Damrau, Mariusz Kwiecień, Nina Stemme, Alexander Tsymbalyuk, Christopher Maltman, René Pape, Vittorio Grigolo, Olga Peretyatko, Alessandro Corbelli, Ambrogio Maestri, Anja Harteros, Simone Piazzola, and Jonas Kaufmann, among others.

In 2019, Paula Iancic began her collaboration with the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, performing the role of Philotis in Schade, dass sie eine Hure war by Anno Schreier (world premiere). Cilea (Romanian National Opera Timișoara), Amelia in Simon Boccanegra, and the title role in Aida by G. Verdi (Romanian National Opera Cluj-Napoca), as well as Cio-Cio-San in Madama Butterfly by G. Puccini (Romanian National Opera Timișoara, Romanian National Opera Bucharest).
