My dear friends,
It is with great joy that I announce the opening of the third edition of the International Salbek Opera Masterclass — a project close to my heart, which has grown year after year and has now become a cherished tradition at the heart of Salbek Castle.
The first two editions gifted us with moments that will stay with me for a long time: we listened to dozens of extraordinary young talents spreading their wings toward international careers, we witnessed profound moments of learning, mentorship, and connections across generations of artists. And at the conclusion of each edition, during the Extraordinary Opera Gala, we felt how their talent and hard work touched the hearts of the audience — and ours, all of us involved.
This year, we continue this mission: to create a safe, creative, and professional space for young musicians to develop. Once again, we are offering access to renowned masters of the international opera scene — mezzo-soprano Ruxandra Donose, soprano Leontina Văduva, and tenor Ramón Vargas — who will generously guide our participants, both artistically and personally.
This is a program that focuses not only on vocal excellence but also on shaping the complete artist — one with sensitivity, discipline, and courage.
Our wish is for every participant to leave Salbek with renewed confidence, with new horizons open before them, and with the feeling that they belong to an artistic family where they can continue to grow.
Salbek Castle and the entire local community will once again be witnesses and partners in this beautiful transformation. Thus, we continue to breathe life not only into the historic walls of the castle but also into the dreams of those who step onto our stage with heart and voice.
