Famous opera singers Valentina Naforniţă, Ruxandra Donose, Ramón Vargas and Leontina Văduva will star in the Salbek Opera Masterclass Gala.
The event will be held at eight p.m. on 25 August on an open-air stage in the plaza in front of the Arad Administrative Palace, together with the Arad Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by David Crescenzi, in an event that is part of Arad Days 2024.

The four opera singers will be joined by the best of the students attending the 2024 Salbek Opera Masterclass, in a programme that will include famous works from the operatic repertoire by Puccini, Bellini, Offtenbach, Strauss, Tchaikovsky, and more.

The gala will mark the close of both the 2024 edition of the Salbek Opera Masterclass and Arad Days 2024. The gala is organised by Arad City Hall, the Arad Municipal Centre of Culture, and the Arad State Philharmonic.
From 21 to 25 August, maestri Ruxandra Donose, Ramón Vargas and Leontina Văduva will coach the 24 young people taking part in the second edition of the International Salbek Opera Masterclass, the only masterclass of its kind in Romania, which, the same as last year, will be held on the Salbek Castle Estate in Petriș, Arad County.

The International Salbek Opera Masterclass is an internationally attended event where twenty-four young people will this year have the opportunity to study canto and operatic performance techniques with three singers of international renown: Ruxandra Donose, tenor Ramón Vargas and soprano Leontina Văduva.
The International Salbek Opera Masterclass will take place from 21 to 25 August 2024 on the Salbek Castle Estate in Petriș, Arad County, in the park surrounding the castle, as well as in a number of charming villages in the countryside around the Salbek Estate: Petriș, Roșia, and Ilteu.
